Whew! What a looooong couple of weeks it has been!
I know I haven't posted much lately. I was spinning in circles getting ready for my first show at the Kane County Flea. I had about 6214 pieces of furniture to paint (or so it seemed) and I gave myself about 2 1/2 weeks to get it done. Needless to say, they were some loooong days and blogging just wasn't happening for me!
But the show has come and gone and now I am in 'recovery' mode.
The hubs is taking me to Chicago today to do a little shopping. We are going to hit all my favorite spots and have lunch at one of our favorite places. A little day spending time together for our Anniversary that was lost in the shuffle of the 'show weekend'. We spent out Anniversary loading furniture into big trucks for the show. Am I just full of fun, or what?
13 of the very best years of my life have been spent with this awesome man, so I figure we should squeeze one day doing something other than work, right?
13 years. Geesh.
Where does the time go?? I don't feel old enough to have been married for 13 years!
(via my Pinterest boards. If you knew us, you would soooo get it.)
I'll be back tomorrow with some pics from the show.
Happy Tuesday, girls!

ReplyDeletehave fun in the city, my friend...i am sure you will be hitting some of my faves too!
do you ever go to The Painted Lady in Bucktown on Damen? not a thrifty shop, but very pretty. it's not too crazy pricey though, unless it has changed in the last year since i moved. There are some shops on Clark St. in the Andersonville neighborhood that are newer, but cute too - Roost and Brimfield. There is a restaurant there i love too called, M. Henry...so cute, the back patio is awesome!!!
:)
Happy Anniversary! I hope you have lots of fun in Chicago :)

Congratulations! Hope you share your favorite Chicago spots. Sure hope I make it up to the flea market sometime this season. And I'm bringing a truck!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your Kane pics. We were there first time in about 25 years. If I would have known you were going to be there, I would have looked for you!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your anniversary. I've been married 23 years, and yes, times flies. I didn't get a chance to say hi at Kane. Everytime I got a break from my booth, I guess you were taking a break too, or loading furniture. Your booth looked great, as always.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary. Hope that you had a wonderful time in Chicago. At least it was sunny today! It was great meeting you at Kane! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary..enjoy the break.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your pics
Hugs

I love reading your posts! Sorry that I missed out on the Kane sale- but super stoked to be traveling to y'all next weekend for the Nada Barn Sale :D. Since I am making a trip of it, I was wondering if anybody had suggestions for other shoppes/places to visit while there or on the way (coming from Lafayette, IN). I would love to get ideas!
ReplyDeleteHappy Aniversary :)
Had a customer come from Washington, IN. to buy something she saw in one of your pictures of the shop! Thank you so much!

What a great way to celebrate your anniversary! I know what you mean about not feeling old enough to be married that long. Where do the years go? I can't wait to see your photos.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!!! We recently celebrated our 23rd anniversary by volunteering at our schools bingo fundraiser & then preparing the baseball fields for the upcoming season. Not very romantic, I know. We plan on taking some time in the near future to properly celebrate. Enjoy your special day!
