so, who's looking for a trailer??

I don't know about you girls, but this Midwest summer heat is KILLING me. I have been scheming all week about how I can get my landlord to install central air in my big, old drafty warehouse. Gah! A girl can dream, right?? I have been so exhausted from working in the heat all day, I have not had the energy to post in a week. But the show must go on, even in 105 degrees...so I thought I would share a little something I have been thinking about all day.

If you follow me on Pinterest you can tell I have a deep love for these little beauties.

They bring back such great memories of all the camping we did as kids. I remember being a little girl and walking around the campground at night with my sister. I always wished for a cute little camper, and I knew it would have to have vintage Chinese lantern lights strung from it around my campsite. They always looked so inviting and happy!

Well this morning, I was laying in bed...fighting the urge to get up...so I paid a little visit to my Pinterest app on my phone and saw this lovely camper pop up...

So it got my wheels turning again, and I hopped over to Craigslist to see if there were any cute ones for sale. They are few and far between, let me tell ya! But this morning...this one appeared on my screen and stopped me in my tracks.

Isn't she cute??

She is a 1965 Arrow. And I love her.

A couple from the Madison, WI area are moving...and need to sell her. They actually have her all fixed up for camping, but this of the cuteness possibilities with this one!

I just thought I would mention it on the outside chance any of my readers from the Midwest were looking to buy a cute little camper.

If you are you can check out the Craigslist ad here...and if you take her home, I want to hear about it!

Can't you just see her all painted up, full of charm and cuteness like this one??

{sigh...}

(all photos are from my Pinterest boards, except the 2 from Craigslist)

I would love to take her home and give her a makeover, but I have other irons in the fire right now...so the trailer will have to come next year.

Happy Wednesday, girls! I am off to a few Estate Sales today...so wish me luck!

  1. Love vintage campers!! Have you seen the Vintage Style magazine that's out now? There's an article in there on "Sisters on the Fly". It's a group of ladies that fixed up campers and go on trips together... like a band of gypsies rolling down the highway! So cute!

  9. Ugh! Was looking last summer and trying to convince the Hubs that one of these would be fun to own. Well, even got my copy of the "Sisters on the Fly" book and drooled somemore, and now to see this post, Yeesh! Torture. I went for my other dream of a cute backyard outbuilding. Hubs went for that one. We started a month ago and the cost is getting close to probably what we could have gotten this cute trailer for. I too grew up on camping trips and we did the same with our children, it was good times. Will be camping out back in the New "Girl Cave" instead. Thanks for sharing as always. Love your blog.

  30. Too cute but the price tag was too much for me. There was one in my town a couple of months back listed for $500 but of course by the time I responded someone had already purchased it.

  32. Oh I've been searching for one of these in England for AGES! I adore the vintage ones. I'm hoping to park it in my garden and make a little private oasis for little old me and my craft projects. I positively dream about discovering one up the road for a pittance. Lovely images, but for now, I'll just carry on dreaming!

  34. We bought one last Summer, My husband says it was the best decision I have ever made... aside from marrying him of course! ( actually bought it from a gent who had been featured on American Pickers... we found that out when we picked it up!) It has been our goal to fix it up! We are working on some structural things and waiting for the weather to cool down to paint the inside. We were inspired by Constance (your first photo) last year prior to our picking ours up... love the green, cream and red ! I know I will have to add the other primaries in there somewhere too! My husband has been "camping" in it on weekends in our back 40. He feels like he has a home away from home and is perfectly content in there. It is a respite from the daily grind. We also use it to bring to Vintage shows and stay in it at night. Yours will come! Thank you for sharing.
